Please ensure you read these terms and conditions carefully before you submit your order to us. We are under a legal duty to supply products that conform to contract and nothing in these terms and conditions will affect any of your legal rights. We only supply the products for domestic and private use, and we do not guarantee the availability of any products listed on www.on-linejewellery.com. We may change these terms and conditions, but if we do so after you have entered into a contract with us subject to them, we will notify you and you may then contact us to end the contract before the changes take effect and also receive a refund for any products paid for but not received.

Please note that products may vary slightly from their images shown on www.on-linejewellery.com and therefore are for illustrative purposes only. Many of the images are taken with our professional in-house lightbox.

ORDERS

When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to buy the product. We will send you an email to confirm that we have received your order, however, this email will not constitute a contract. Once we have checked the price and availability of the product. we will then email you to confirm that we have accepted your order, will take payment from you, and the contract will then exist between us and yourself. Please note that orders may however be cancelled due to inability to authorise a credit card, suspicion of fraudulent intent, or any other reason, as we see fit. If your credit card has already been charged and your order is cancelled, we shall issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the purchase. Please note that, that for PayPal transactions, the transaction fee will not be returned in the refund to the PayPal account.

CHANGES, CANCELLATIONS and RETURNS

If you wish to make a change to your order, please email jersey@on-linejewellery.com as soon as possible. We will let you know if the change is possible, and if so, we will let you know about any changes to the price of the product, the timing of the supply of the product or anything else which would be necessary because of your requested change. We will then ask you to confirm whether you wish to go ahead with the change.

Please note that special orders, bespoke pieces, personalised jewellery, and products that have been sized to fit are final sale and are not eligible for changes, otherwise we will endeavour to make any changes requested before your order has been shipped.

Your rights to end the contract will also depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with the product and when you decide to end the contract. If what you have bought is faulty or misdescribed you may have a legal right to end the contract (or to get the product repaired or replaced or to get some or all your money refunded). You are able to end the contract if we have told you about a change to the product which you do not agree to or we have told you about an error in the prices or description of the product you have ordered and you do not wish to proceed.

If you have changed your mind about the product, you have a legal right, under the Distance Selling (Jersey) Law 2007, to cancel the contract within seven working days (being all days other than Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays) following your receipt of the goods and receive a refund, including outward postage costs, within 30 days. However, please note that special orders, bespoke pieces, earrings, personalised jewellery and products that have been sized to fit are exempt items and therefore not eligible for return

If you cancel, you must return the product to us at your own expense, include a copy of the receipt. You must ensure that the goods are packaged adequately to protect against damage. You have a statutory duty under the Distance Selling (Jersey) Law 2007 to take reasonable care of the product and therefore the product returned must be free from wear, stains, odour or any other condition that would prevent them from being sold as new. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value.

If you are legally entitled to reject the product for example, if the item is faulty or misdescribed, we will pay the costs of the return.

Jewellery, like all material, is susceptible to damage and requires preventative measures and maintenance. It is important to be aware of your jewellery while wearing it and to choose pieces that are appropriate for your lifestyle. If a product purchased from us incurs damage, please contact us at jersey@on-linejewellery.com. We will ask you to return the product, review the damage and assess its possible cause and then contact you with an estimate for the repair, if the damage was a result of your misuse.

PRICES, SALES TAXES and FORMS OF PAYMENT

All prices listed are accurate to the best of our ability. In the rare case that a product is listed incorrectly, we reserve the right to refuse the sale and may offer the product again with the correct information.

The prices on www.on-linejewellery.com include Jersey Goods and Sales Tax (GST) at 5%. If an order is to be shipped to mainland United Kingdom, Value Added Tax (VAT) at a rate of 20% will be applied and GST at 5% will be removed. Deliveries to be shipped outside of the United Kingdom may incur taxes and we will not be responsible for these taxes as any country-specific taxes will be the responsibility of the customer.

We take all reasonable care to ensure that the price of the product advised to you is correct. It is always possible that, despite our reasonable care, some of the products we sell may be incorrectly priced due to the fluctuation of precious metal and precious stones prices. However, if the item is in stock and in the customers size (if applicable), the price will be as shown. If we need to order new stock, or in the customers size (if applicable), we will obtain a price and advise the customer accordingly.

We accept most forms of payment, including credit cards (Visa, Mastercard and American Express), bank transfers and payments through PayPal.

We deliver to the Channel Islands and the United Kingdom using Royal Mail Special Delivery and deliveries should take between 3 to 10 working days. For Worldwide deliveries, we will use a recognised courier company. When we accept your order, we will advise you of the cost of delivery. Once your item has been shipped you will receive an email containing the date of shipping and the tracking number, if applicable. We track and trace your parcel for you as part of our service. If our supply of the product is delayed by an event outside our control, then we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know. A claim for non-delivery of a tracked parcel can be made after 28 working days if no information about the parcel is available. However, if the original parcel arrives, you will be required to return the products and we reserve the right to charge you for them.

OTHER INFORMATION

Hallmarking

Hallmarking is an ancient method of safeguarding customers and involves the testing, by an Assay Office, of precious metals and marking them to indicate that they are a minimum standard of purity. In Jersey, it is not a legal requirement to hallmark a product, however we ensure all jewellery stocked by ourselves is hallmarked thus ensuring the customer of the authenticity of the item they are purchasing.

Certified and Conflict free Diamonds

We will ensure most Diamonds, from 0.3ct, are Certified, with a Diamond Grading Certificate guaranteed by an accredited Diamond laboratory. In Europe, the Antwerp Diamond High council is the topmost authority in Diamond Grading of which Bradley Phillips CDG (HRD) is a Certified Graduate and member of.

For any products fabricated from rough diamonds mined from 1 January 2003 onwards, we will warrant that the Diamonds have been purchased from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflict and are in compliance with the United Nations Resolutions, and guarantee that the Diamonds are conflict free, based on personal knowledge and/or written guarantees provided by the supplier of these Diamonds.
